A huge part of the Long-Leonard kitchen project involves opening up the kitchen to expand into the dining area and living room. Which means taking down some walls and inserting beams in their place. In order to do that without the house falling down around them, they needed to construct temporary walls to support everything during this process.
I asked the homeowners what it was like having to wait to move into their new home… While they are excited and full of anticipation for everything to be done, they could not imagine living in the house while the renovations are being completed. The kitchen and bathrooms are totally gutted, and there is dust on every surface of the house- even in rooms that aren’t being worked on! They enjoy being able to come by their home every few days and see the progress that has been made!
