“Working in the Annapolis area is fulfilling in so many ways; many of the homes we work on have incredible views of the surrounding rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Some of the homes have such rich history and strong bones, that it is an honor to be a part of maintaining or recreating the beauty within. Having grown up here in Annapolis, it’s amazing to see the transformations, and to be a part of it.”– Mark T. White, CKD, CBD, Chesapeake Views, Fall 2014

We recently had the pleasure of working on a kitchen renovation right in the heart of Historic Downtown Annapolis. While the previous kitchen had a nice charm to it, some of the appliances were outdated and there was a lack of functionality among the space.

The homeowners enjoyed the large island, but wanted to switch the placement of the cook top with the sink. We also added some seating to the island, with a beverage center on one end, that leads to the outdoor entertaining area. The wall of cabinets maximized the amount of storage and created a built-in look for the appliances. With new lighting, fresh paint, and a light granite countertop, the new kitchen is now more open, airy, and inviting- and the homeowners love cooking and entertaining in their new space!

With some slight re-configuring of the entry to the kitchen from the living room, we were able to add a powder room to the main floor of the house, which is a great addition for when they have company!
