Remember our ‘Follow A Project’ series where we went through the design process, demo, and installation with new homeowners, Michael Leonard and Alexandra Long?? It’s been a while since we’ve updated you on their project, but I had the pleasure of spending yesterday afternoon and evening in their newly renovated home, and am now going to take the opportunity to share it with you!
We started the afternoon off with a photo shoot of the beautiful new space with local guy, The Annapolis Photographer. It was a gorgeous Fall day with the natural light flooding in through the windows!
(We will post the professional images next week!)
When the photo shoot was over, it was time to start getting ready for an Open House that Kitchen Encounters and TailorCraft Builders put together. We wanted the new homeowners to invite their family, friends, and new neighbors to see the drastic changes that the house had gone through over the recent months, and for them to show off their space . To refresh your memory, here is a story board of the process:
We had a lovely spread of artisanal meats and cheeses, marinated mushrooms and artichokes, fresh bruschetta, spinach basil pesto, and artichoke tapenade, accompanied with homemade Focaccia bread and crostini (catered by Kerri Out Food- based in Severna Park). We had a variety of red and white wines, and some beers for the guests to choose from. Everyone was in awe over the transformation of the space, and all the decorative elements Mike and Alex chose for their home.
Here is the happy couple in their gorgeous new kitchen:
And here they are with the design team from Kitchen Encounters (Brittany Reeves, AKBD and Mark T. White, CKD, CBD) that pulled it all together:
We had a lovely evening with all of Mike and Alex’s guests, along with some of the other key people in the project! Even Baxter was a little worn out from all of the excitement!
And to top everything off, this morning, we were welcomed with a wonderful thank you note from Mike and Alex:
WOW!! It was truly our pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic and warm couple, and to help create a home that reflects their welcoming personalities. Thank you Mike and Alex for letting us follow you through this journey!!
