Check out the before and after photos of this kitchen:
The clients had a rather large sun porch that was rarely used, so they envisioned turning that into more liveable space and maximizing their already open concept kitchen. The new space now has a large working island, with an eat-in breakfast bar, and space for a large dining table where the sun porch used to be. There is more connectivity to the family room, and the kitchen is more comfortable for entertaining.
They also requested a desk area to be built into the space:
They were worried about losing their pantry space because of the lack of walls with this open concept, but we were able to incorporate a larger pantry space as well as a wall oven, microwave, and extra storage for bar glasses and serving dishes.
Overall, the space has a much fresher look, brighter feel, and cleaner lines. With maximized storage space and liveable space, the clients and their family are thrilled with the outcome!
And we can’t forget about an eating area for Uschi, the family dog!
