Summer time means more activities, more entertaining, and more fun! With the kids home from school, longer days, and warmer temperatures, your kitchen is probably getting more action than usual. A great design feature that makes this time of year easier to manage is adding a beverage center to your kitchen, pantry, mudroom, or dining area.

This could be a set of refrigerator or freezer drawers, or a combination of both for easy access to cold drinks and snacks for the kids. Placed properly, for instance, in an island or a peninsula, it would not interrupt the flow of the work space. They are also at a level where kids can reach it themselves. Placing this type of appliance in the mudroom or garage can be convenient for when you’re rushing out the door trying to get to the next activity.

A beverage center can also be used as a bar area, whether its for coffee or wine and beer. There are many sizes of under counter refrigerators and ice makers so that you can have everything you need in one spot. There are also full size wine coolers that have temperature settings to be sure that your wines are kept at the right temp for serving.

Having a beverage center in the dining area can also make entertaining much easier. You can keep soft drinks, waters, wine, beer, etc all right there so you don’t have to miss a thing, and guests can help themselves!

A beverage center is something that could potentially be added into your existing kitchen layout, or added into another room that you feel would be better fit for your lifestyle.
