Mark T. White, CMKBD
Owner/Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer The family enterprise is known for unique and creative designs, quality products, and exceptional service. Mark developed the Interactive Design Process to ensure the very best results for customers’ projects.
He has received numerous design awards and his projects have appeared on HGTV and in national and regional publications. He served as a judge for the NKBA and other industry competitions, and served on the Board of Directors for the NKBA. Mark has been an active member of the Baltimore Washington’s Chapter of the NKBA and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005.Mark helped develop and taught the Kitchen & Bath Design course at Anne Arundel Community College. He regularly travels to teach seminars at other chapters, conferences, and colleges, and also for out of state design projects.
Cathy joined Kitchen Encounters after receiving her Associates Degree in Interior Design from Anne Arundel Community College. This career change comes after receiving her undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University and her MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and spending many years in the consumer products industry.
Cathy believes design is not just about creating beautiful spaces but creating lifestyles and that listening and problem solving are the most important things in helping clients achieve both.
Cathy has received multiple student design awards and has served as the NKBA Student Chapter President at Anne Arundel Community College.
Tracy McGuinness, AKBD Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer
Tracy has long been inspired by great design. A graduate of the University of Virginia, she had a successful first career in the corporate world before deciding to pursue her passion for interiors full time. She went back to school and completed the NKBA-supported program at Anne Arundel Community College then joined the team at Kitchen Encounters.
Tracy brings her unique combination of creative thinking and technical, analytical skills to her design projects. She believes in putting clients first, listening carefully then following through to create beautiful, functional spaces that will stand the test of time.
John Beauchamp Designer
John’s keen eye for detail, love of people, and penchant for puzzle solving led him down the road of home design and construction during his time as an undergrad at Virginia Tech University. Experiences in apartment complex management and international product design and supply chain management also compliments his Bachelor’s degree in Residential Environments and Design, as well as a minor in Building Construction & Design.
John believes in designing with a purpose: each aspect of a design should satisfy a client’s current lifestyle with room to modify for their future needs. In the end, living in a well-designed space should be effortless, safe, and functional for every client.
Before joining the Kitchen Encounters team as a Designer, John worked in Florida to establish a new branch of a national kitchen and bath remodeling company.
