Mark T. White, CKD, CBD, established Kitchen Encounters in 1981. Celebrating 30 years in business, the family enterprise is known for unique and creative designs, quality products, and exceptional service. Mark developed the Interactive Design Process to ensure the very best results for customers’ projects.

He has received numerous design awards and his projects have appeared on HGTV and in national and regional publications. He has served as a judge for NKBA and other industry competitions. Mark also developed, and now teaches a Kitchen & Bath Design course at a local college.
 

Tanya Dugan, CKD
Certified Kitchen Designer

Tanya has been designing and managing high end kitchen and bath remodels in some of the finest homes in Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland since 2000. She studied interior design at Interior Designer’s Institute in Newport Beach and also worked as a designer in southern California for one of the area's most prestigious builders in their home selection center, which became the foundation to her broad knowledge of the construction process. While working in the DC area as a designer and project manager for design build firms, she worked with customers from design inception through installation, including specifying and selecting all of the materials needed for a complete interior remodel. The combination of her design skills and savvy ability to extract key information from the client enables her to turn it into a kitchen remodel they will love for years to come.
