Kitchen Encounters Designers


Mark began his career in the kitchen industry in 1978 and by 1981 he had established his own company, Kitchen Encounters.

As an award-winning designer, Mark's work has been featured regularly in national and regional publications. His kitchens and baths have been televised on Home and Garden Television (HGTV). He was the Grand Prize Winner in the 2006 GE Design Contest.

Mark served as a judge for the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Design Competition, participated on several advisory panels for national manufacturers, and is frequently invited to deliver industry related seminars and workshops that he developed. Mark represented the Council of Designers on the Board of Directors for NKBA, is an NKBA instructor, and is a member of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter hall of fame.
 


Serena began her career with Kitchen Encounters in 2004 after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, an NKBA endorsed college, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. Since then she has earned her CKD certificate.
 
 


Shane began her career with Kitchen Encounters in 2004 after graduating from East Carolina University, an NKBA endorsed college, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. Since then she has earned her CKD certificate.
